Man Hits Tulsa Woman With Gun In Attempted Robbery

Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob a woman outside a midtown apartment complex overnight.  

Officers responded to the incident at the Westminster Apartments in the 7300 block of East 48th Street at about 1 a.m.

The victim said she was parking her car when a man got out of a car parked nearby, pointed a gun at her and demanded her purse. When the woman ran, the man hit her on the back of the head with the butt of the gun.  

After getting to her apartment she called police.  

The victim described the robber as a white male wearing a baseball cap, t-shirt and blue jeans. She said he appeared to be between 25 and 30 years of age, about 6 feet tall and weighing 120 to 135 pounds. He was last see running east on East 49th Street.

EMSA paramedics treated the woman at the scene.
