Fourth Suspect In Tulsa Motel Murder Arrested

Tulsa Police arrested a fourth suspect connected to a June murder at a Tulsa motel.

Sergeant Dave Walker said members of the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force arrested 26-year-old Dewayne Williams in the murder of Cedrick Gilmer at the Studio 6 Motel.

Investigators said Gilmer went to a party at the motel after posting on Facebook that he was carrying a large amount of cash. The motive for his murder is believed to be robbery.

Walker said Williams was previously interviewed by homicide detectives after he was identified by a Crime Stoppers tip.

Williams denied any involvement, but Walker said their investigation proved otherwise.

Jail records show he was arrested for first-degree murder.
