Tulsa Zoo Breaks Ground On $16 Million 'Lost Kingdom'

The "Lost Kingdom" is the first major exhibit built at the zoo in more than 15 years. The main focus will be Asia's most rare and elusive species.

The Tulsa Zoo broke ground Wednesday on a new $16 million habitat.

It'll feature tigers, snow leopards, kamodo dragons, bring new species to the Tulsa Zoo... red pandas and binturong,” Terrie Correll said.

The "Lost Kingdom" is the first major exhibit built at the zoo in more than 15 years.

The main focus will be Asia's most rare and elusive species.

It's scheduled to open in 2017.
