Tulsa-Area Girl Scouts To Camp Out On White House Lawn

Five Green Country girls are in our nation's capitol to camp out on the White House Lawn June 30.

The girls flew out from Tulsa to spend the night in a hotel before taking part in the event on the South Lawn.

They are among the 50 fourth-grade Girls Scouts picked for this first-ever campout hosted by First lady Michelle Obama. They will engage in rock wall climbing, knot tying, orienteering and tent pitching. 

The Girl Scouts and NASA astronaut Cady Coleman will join a stargazing activity with NASA staff and scientists Tuesday night.
