A driver ran smack into a house and took off, leaving thousands of dollars' worth of damage.
It was all caught on video and the homeowners hope someone recognizes the car.
They said they weren't sure what happened at first, then, were shocked at what the surveillance video revealed.
The Gunnels have lived in their home near downtown for over 35 years, and even though they live close to an intersection, they've never had a close call until this week.
They heard a bang and walked out their front door to find bricks all over the place.
Surveillance video on the front porch shows lights approaching the home and then a car drive through the yard and take out part of the porch before coming to a stop.
Then, the driver backs up, drags the front bumper on the ground, and eventually speeds away from Ken and Vi Gunnels home.
"We were very fortunate," Ken said. “I'm usually sitting here late at night."
But instead of sitting outside in his rocking chair, Ken was watching TV in his bedroom around 11:40 Tuesday night.
"I hear this thunder and I think the house has been hit by lightning, so I come rushing out here because I could see the lights and everything on the monitor,” he said.
Even after walking outside and looking around at the scattered bricks and cement, he wasn't sure what exactly had happened.
"I thought I smelt something burning and then I say all that and was like what the heck," Ken said.
That's when he looked over his surveillance video. It showed someone driving down 7th Street didn't turn with the road and plowed right into his house.
Police said it looks to be a late 90s or early 2000 white Ford Crown Victoria, with a damaged front bumper.
Ken said, “He's gone, with one headlight."
And a busted out passenger side headlight.
The driver knocked out a pillar and brick wall, damaged the stairs and caved in the porch.
"Our kids and maybe some of our younger kids to help pick this up, there's no way we will be able to pick this up ourselves," said Ken.
Despite the damage, Ken is happy his family is okay and for once he wasn't out sitting in his rocking chair.
If you know who was driving the car or see the vehicle around town, call Tulsa police.
