Go-Kart Driver Dies After Crash With ATV In Mayes County; Alcohol Suspected

The OHP collision report says Cecil Hall was northbound with no lights on his go kart and traveled left of center, crashing head on into the ATV.

A 40-year-old Salina man is dead after he crashed his go kart into an all-terrain vehicle, and it is suspected to be alcohol-related, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at 10 p.m. on Wednesday on County Road 4418, a mile north of Salina in Mayes County.

OHP says Cecil Melvin Hall died at a Pryor hospital.

Dustin Wade Dawson, 43, of Salina, was driving the ATV. He was ejected about 10 feet but was not injured, according to OHP.

The collision report says Hall was northbound with no lights on his go kart and traveled left of center, crashing head on into the ATV.

The investigating trooper says Hall smelled like alcohol, and Dawson's condition was apparently normal. The official cause of the collision is pending investigation.
