Seared Watermelon With Herbed Goat Cheese

Seared Watermelon


6 one inch thick slices of watermelon

Oil as needed

Sea salt as needed

Cracked pepper as needed


Place the watermelon slices between paper towels and allow the surface to dry slightly. Place a large sauté pan over medium heat and add just enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan.

Season the watermelon to taste with salt and pepper. Place the seasoned watermelon slices into the hot pan.

Sear the slices for 2-4 minutes on the first side until they are evenly caramelized. Turn the slices over and sear on the opposite side for 2-4 minutes until evenly caramelized.

Herbed Goat Cheese


1 cup goat cheese

¼ cup cream cheese

¼ cup heavy cream

1 tsp. fresh garden herbs of your choice

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste


Place all of the ingredients in a stand mixer and whip until smooth and evenly combined.
