Flood water is covering Highway 48 just south of Interstate 40.

Heavy rain from Tropical Depression Bill has sent the North Canadian River out of its banks in Okfuskee County.

The high water is completely covering Highway 48 about four miles southwest of Okemah and two miles north of the community of Bearden.

There are no barricades indicating the highway is officially closed, but the water appears to be several feet deep.
