Police said officers put out stop sticks several times but the driver avoided them and kept on heading north.

According to Tulsa Police, Mathews drove northbound in the southbound lanes of Highway 169 in pickup for a large portion of the pursuit.

The chase finally ended just south of Nowata when the truck drove off the highway trying to avoid stop sticks and became stuck in the mud.
