The Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Tulsa Fire Department are removing cattle trapped in a semi tractor trailer which rolled onto its side in downtown Tulsa Thursday morning.
The cattle truck crash happened just before 6 a.m.
Troopers say because of the crash on the northeast corner of the IDL. The I-244 ramp onto southbound Highway 75 is closed. Firefighters have contained a diesel spill at the scene.
The OHP say there are 106 cattle in the trailer and some appear to be injured or dead. Crews have set up temporary fencing so after the cattle are unloaded they can be funneled into some nearby stock trailers.
Troopers said the truck and trailer will be hauled to the Tulsa stockyards where the cattle be taken out of the trailer.
The OHP says the driver of the semi was not injured in the crash.
