An Oklahoma inmate briefly escaped from a LeFlore County prison Monday evening.
The Oklahoma Department of Corrections says Brannon Vonholt, 23, was reported missing at 6 p.m. from the Hamilton Correctional Center, a minimum-security prison in Hodgen. After a search, authorities found Vonholt walking on a county road north of the prison just before 8:30 p.m.
Vonholt was serving time for second-degree burglary and drug possession out of Sequoyah County. Prison records show he was set to be released in December 2020.
