Troopers say an inattentive driver ran into the back of a semi truck overnight in Rogers County. It happened at 1:16 a.m. Monday on eastbound U.S. Highway 412 near county road NS 4140.

The semi was slowing to make a left turn when it was struck from behind.

Investigators with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol say Keegan Jackson, a 29-year-old man from Kansas, Oklahoma, was driving the 2001 Ford van that crashed into the semi. He was taken to a Tulsa hospital where he is said to be stable with head and leg injuries.

The driver of the semi and his 9-year-old passenger were not injured.

Jackson was wearing a seatbelt, and his airbags deployed, a collision report states. Authorities believe Jackson was in normal condition at the time of the crash but distracted.
