Police arrested a Collinsville teen they say tried to steal Airsoft guns from a Tulsa Walmart store by stuffing them in his pants.

Police arrested a Collinsville teen they say tried to steal Airsoft guns from a Tulsa store by stuffing them in his pants.

Officers were called to the Walmart at 66th and Memorial at about 6 p.m. Wednesday after store security saw a teen on surveillance video opening packages and shoving Airsoft pistols down his pants.

Police met him as he left the store, but he ran away. Officers chased him and used pepper spray to arrest him.

They identify him as Jeremiah Sumner, 19.

The booked Jeremiah Sumner into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of larceny, resisting officers and resisting arrest by fleeing. Jail records show Sumner has a court appearance set for May 15.
