Broken Arrow Boy Injured When Car Hits His Bicycle

Broken Arrow Police said a boy suffered minor injuries when a car hit his bicycle Wednesday morning.

Broken Arrow Police said a boy suffered minor injuries when a car hit his bicycle Wednesday morning.

Corporal Leon Calhoun said a car hit the 13-year-old's bicycle while he was riding on West Ithaca north of 101st and Elm at about 7 a.m. 

The location is near Sequoyah Middle School. 

Police said the boy jumped off the bike just before the collision. He has minor injuries but was not actually hit by the car, according to police.

Police said they didn't issue any citations.
