Robbers Steal Car In Tulsa Fontana Shopping Center Parking Lot

Police arrested a man and woman for a robbery at the Tulsa Fontana Shopping Center early Tuesday.<br/><br/><br/>

Police arrested one person for a robbery at the Tulsa Fontana Shopping Center early Tuesday. James Willhite is in custody on complaints of larceny and obstructing an officer.

The victims told police they were meeting in front of Magoo's at the shopping center at 2 a.m. at 51st and Memorial to make a payment on some jewelry when they got into a fight with four people. 

When one of the victims got out of a Dodge Stratus, two people got in and drove off. Police stopped the car a few blocks away. 

Officers said Willhite got out and ran while the female passenger stayed. She was questioned and released.

Police said a K9 officer eventually caught up with Willhite who was taken into custody. They said he had to be treated by EMSA paramedics for several dog bites. 

Two other men involved in the robbery and fight ran away after the car was stolen, and police have not been able to locate them.
