An off-duty Washington County deputy is due for a court appearance this week. Deputy William Wade was arrested for aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol following a collision late Friday night.

Sheriff Rick Silver said Wade had a blood alcohol content more than double the legal limit.

Authorities responded to two non-injury collisions at Highway 75 and Road 2300 at about 11:45 p.m., according to a news release. They discovered Wade was driving one of the vehicles involved.

"Preliminary field sobriety tests were done at the scene which validated the suspicion the deputy was under the influence," Silver said.

A blood test at the Washington County Jail showed him to have a blood alcohol content of .18 which is aggravated DUI in Oklahoma. The legal limit is .08 BAC.

Wade was released on bond Saturday morning and has been placed on administrative leave. He has a court appearance on May 11, 2015.

Wade has been a deputy in Washington County for several years, Silver said.
