The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 44-year-old Miami woman was killed in a three vehicle crash involving a Tulsa Police SUV near the Port of Catoosa Tuesday evening.
Troopers said the 8:35 p.m. crash happened on Highway 266 about a mile north of Highway 167 in Rogers County.
The OHP says a 2000 Chevy Suburban driven by Markarita Immy was headed west on Highway 266 when her SUV struck the drivers side of an eastbound 2014 Chevy pickup then hit a Tulsa Police 2011 Chevy Tahoe head-on.
Immy was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers, a two- and nine-year-old were taken to a Tulsa hospital. The OHP says the two-year-old was admitted.
The driver of the pickup, Toby Willis, 38, of Claremore refused treatment, as did one of the three passengers, Robyn Willis, 37, also from Claremore. A nine-year-old in the pickup was not injured and a third passenger was taken to a personal doctor who treated the 13-year-old for an arm injury.
The driver of the police vehicle, Robert Heidlage, 54, of Tulsa was taken to a Tulsa hospital where he was treated and released.
The OHP says Immy and her two passengers were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
Troopers are still investigating.
