Creek County Sheriff's Office has taken a man into custody following a homicide near Kellyville. A manhunt took place after a 67-year-old man was stabbed to death in his home, according to Sergeant Les Vaughn with CCSO.

Authorities arrested Arnold Dean "A.J." Howell Jr. in the Town West area early Tuesday afternoon, Vaughn said.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation identified the victim as Michael Mondier Sr. A news release states information from witnesses and evidence gathered at the scene indicate the 22-year-old Howell stabbed Mondier to death.

Howell's sister, Katherine Elaine Freeman, was taken into custody at the scene. She was booked on a complaint of first-degree murder.

Mondier was found stabbed to death in his motor home in the 15000 block of West 188th Place South. Vaughn said he believes both Howell and Freeman knew the victim.

Howell was also booked on a complaint of armed robbery.

News On 6 was there Monday night as deputies investigated the homicide in the rural area south of Sapulpa.
