Rape Suspect Sought By Wagoner County Sheriff's Office

The Wagoner County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man wanted for 2nd degree rape.

The office identifies the suspect as Wayne Kelly Edwards, Sr. 

The sheriff's office says it responded to a call about a rape in the Rocky Point area of the county on April 9th. Edwards had sexually molested a 15-year-old girl who was known to him, according to investigators.

The sheriff's office says Wayne Kelly Edwards, Sr. is 44 years old, 5'10", 200 lbs, with hazel eyes, brown hair and bald on top. He was last seen in Wagoner driving his 1999 red Ford Explorer with Oklahoma tag 949BOO.

Edwards is known to travel to the Tulsa, Wagoner and McAlester area's where he has friends and or family, according to the sheriff's office.
