USA Today's College Factual has listed the Top 10 colleges for women's DI softball, and has The University of Tulsa's softball program ranked as the fifth-best in the nation.
College Factual has ranked the best colleges for softball taking into account the athletic success of the team, as well as the academic success of the players and other quality measures. Since 2006, Golden Hurricane softball has won nine conference championships, and made seven appearances in the NCAA Tournament, including each of the last four years. Tulsa has produced five NFCA All-Americans, three CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, and five CoSIDA Academic All-District selections. TU has also landed 17 NFCA All-Region and 37 all-conference selections in that span.

5. UNIVERSITY OF TULSA – TULSA, OKLA.
John Bargfeldt is the only Tulsa coach to have a winning record in every one of his (nine) seasons. His teams have reached the NCAA Tournament six of the last seven years. Tulsa is a small, private college with a student body of 4,000 and a student-to-faculty ratio of 11 to 1. It's known for its petroleum engineering program, plus its school of law offering a Native American Legal Issues specialty. Its most popular majors are petroleum engineering, finance and mechanical engineering.
