The Sapulpa Fire Department had a difficult time putting out fires at a closed mobile home park near the Turner Turnpike.
Someone called 911 at about 1:30 a.m. after seeing two homes burning in the Rolling Hills Mobile Home Park in the 8000 block of South 78th West Avenue.
Firefighters say it appears someone set fire to two piles of trash and the fire spread to two homes. The state Fire Marshal's Office and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality have been called out to investigate.
Sapulpa Assistant Fire Chief Steve Fleak says this is the second time in the past two weeks firefighters have been sent to the park. He says the fires were tough to fight and they had to use a lot of manpower to bring the fires under control.
Fleak says no one was injured.
