Highway 169 Crash Lodges Pickup In Tulsa Drainage Culvert

A driver who apparently fell asleep on the way home from work around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday was fortunate to escape serious injury on Highway 169.

His pickup was northbound on the highway around the 56th Street North exit in Tulsa when it went off the edge of the road and ended up in a drainage culvert, according to Tulsa police. 

The driver had some minor injuries but appeared to be OK.

A wrecker at the scene told the driver they might have to use a crane to remove the truck which was stuck between the culvert walls and in the mud.
