Lightning Sparks Large Grass Fire West Of Henryetta

<p>Okmulgee County authorities say a grass fire started by a lightning strike burned more than 400 acres west of Henryetta late Tuesday and into early Wednesday.</p>

Okmulgee County authorities say a grass fire started by a lightning strike burned more than 400 acres west of Henryetta late Tuesday and into early Wednesday.

The Henryetta Fire Department says a driver spotted the fire about ten miles west of Henryetta at about 10:45 p.m. Firefighters battled the flames for about two hours before finally putting them out.

We have no reports of any structures being damaged by the fire.
