Muskogee Man Charged With Rape After Arrest At Cherokee State Park

In addition to first-degree rape, Corey Duane Bryan has also been charged with encouraging a minor to participate in drug-related crimes.

A Muskogee man was charged Monday in connection to an alleged sexual assault of a minor girl at the Cherokee State Park over the weekend.

Grand River Dam Authority police arrested Corey Duane Bryan at an area below the dam Saturday evening.

In addition to first-degree rape, he has also been charged with encouraging a minor to participate in drug-related crimes.

GRDA Chief Brian Edwards told News On 6 the alleged victim's father was fighting with Bryan when they arrived at the park. 

Bond was set at $200,000 with the condition that Bryan, 33, not have any contact with the girl, who is under 16. He has been released from jail Monday evening after making his initial appearance in court.

His preliminary hearing was set for May 14, 2015.
