Crews Repairing Failed Storm Sewer In Midtown Tulsa

Last week's heavy rain left a big hole in the road on 18th Street just east of Peoria. The City of Tulsa says a storm sewer failed this weekend.

Firefighters went door to door Sunday to warn residents about the hole. Crews had to wait to begin repairs until all of the underground utility lines in the area were located. That has been done, and now they are working on the street.

They don't know yet when the hole will be repaired. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.
