Two people died and two were hospitalized after a Pittsburg County crash on Saturday night, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says.
OHP says Malinda Arthur, 39, of Eufaula, and Jeremy Robinson, 43, of Savanna, both were pronounced dead on a gravel county road 3 miles east of Canadian about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
A 14-year-old boy, whose name was withheld, was transported by medical helicopter to Tulsa and is said to be stable. John Upchurch, 60, also was airlifted and is said to be stable.
According to OHP, Arthur was driving a 2007 Chevrolet and departed to the right, re-entered the roadway and departed to the left before overturning one and a half times. The vehicle landed on its top and Arthur, Upchurch and the boy were all pinned.
According to the trooper's report, there was an odor of alcohol on the driver and the cause of the collision was unsafe speed for the gravel road.
