The investigation into a plane crash in Verdigris is expected to be handed over to the Federal Aviation Administration on Wednesday afternoon.

Civil Air Patrol representatives still are on scene keeping the area secure.

This yellow tape is keeping media back, but you still can see just how intense the crash was. There are pieces of the plane scattered through the field. The Civil Air Patrol said this plane is commonly used as a skydiving plane.

There were two people in the plane when it lost power and went down. They only suffered minor injuries, and considering where the plane went down and the damage, the Civil Air Patrol says they are lucky.

Officials say the investigation could take days weeks or even months to complete.
