City councilors learned first-hand how Tulsa Police officers drive their patrol cars.
For the first time, Tulsa's city council was invited to learn driving techniques at the TPD driving range.
After riding along with officers councilors then had the chance to try their hand at some of the maneuvers.
Police hope the councilors gain an appreciation of how safely Tulsa Police officers drive.
"If we do have to use speed, you know, when we are driving in a code-one situation, that we do it safely," said Tulsa Police Corporal, Dan Fuller.
Along with that, Tulsa Police hoped to show the City council the need for constant training for officers.
And with spring and warmer weather now upon us, Tulsa Police are reminding all of us to Share the Road.
That's why they are offering a free motorcycle safety course this Saturday morning at 9:00 at Johnson Park near 61st and Riverside.
You can learn more about the course here.
