Police said a cab driver wasn't hurt during a carjacking near an east Tulsa restaurant overnight.
Officers said the carjacking happened near the Whataburger on 31st Street just east of Highway 169 at about 1:20 a.m.
The cabbie told police he was taking a customer from 61st and Peoria to 36th and Garnett when the man pulled a knife during an argument at about 1:20 a.m. After forcing the driver out of the 2005 Dodge Caravan, the man drove off.
Police said the white, 2005 Dodge Caravan has the word "taxi" and the numbers "04" on its side. They said it was recovered at 8:24 a.m. by the Sapulpa Police Department in the 200 block of North Hickory and was unoccupied.
Police eventually arrested Duwayne Walker. Officers said four people identified him as the man who got in the cab.
Jail records show Walker is being held for robbery with a dangerous weapon.
EMSA paramedics treated the cab driver for an injury as he was running away from the carjacker, but wasn't taken to the hospital.
