Someone opened fire on a brother and sister in a sport utility vehicle at the Seminole Hills apartments in Tulsa. The Chevrolet Suburban was damaged, but no one was injured.

Police responded after callers reported hearing numerous shots at the complex in the 1600 block of East Virgin.

The brother and sister were getting ready to go to Walmart when someone opened fire, according to their mother. She said the family has only had the vehicle for about two weeks, and she believes it must be a case of mistaken identity.

Officers are investigating. There were numerous shell casings and glass scattered throughout the parking lot.
