14-Year-Old Driver In Stolen Car Leads Oklahoma Troopers On Chase

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers took two teens and an adult woman in for questioning after a 14-year-old boy led them on a pursuit early Sunday.

A 14-year-old driver led the Oklahoma Highway Patrol on a chase overnight Sunday. Troopers told News On 6 there were two teens and an adult woman in a Mercury Topaz a trooper tried to stop on Interstate 244 near Sheridan around 2:45 a.m.

Instead of stopping, the teenage boy behind the wheel got off the highway and drove through neighborhoods, authorities say. He drove to Memorial then got back on Interstate 244, as troopers followed.

The chase continue to Interstate 44 where the car exited at 161st Street, heading north into the stockyards.

Finally, the driver pulled over near a curve at 145th East Avenue.

Troopers took the 14-year-old driver, a 14-year-old female passenger and a 20-year-old woman in for questioning. 

They tell us the car had been stolen.

No one was injured in the pursuit, and there was no word on whether the woman would be charged with any crime.
