Tulsa Police say they are investigating after someone cut the ears of a two-month-old pitbull puppy and left them in the owner's backyard. The dog is missing, according to a police update.

Officers say the dog was stolen from a yard in the 2000 block of North Atlanta Avenue on February 26, 2015. The dog is described as a blue nose pitbull valued at $600.

The suspect is described as a thin black male about 18 to 22 years of age. He is about 5'8" with braided hair and was wearing black pants and a red shirt. He was driving an older model Chevrolet Impala with tinted windows.

The owner found the dog's ears in his backyard on March 7, 2015.
