ORU Crushed In Series Opener Against No.23 Dallas Baptist

DBU's bats were on fire as the team dominated Oral Roberts 16-0 Friday afternoon.

Brief Synopsis

Both teams remained scoreless during the first inning, but Dallas Baptist got on the board during the second to lead 2-0 (off of four hits).

By the third inning, ORU hadn't even tallied a single hit, until Logan Domenico seized luck at the plate. The Golden Eagles failed to make anything happen, and took the field again.

DBU was on a roll, scoring another run in the fourth inning to further advance its lead.

The Patriots completely dominated the fifth, adding four more scores off a grand slam over the left field fence. By the time ORU made three outs, the Patriots had plated 11 more runs.

DBU stayed hot, defeating the Golden Eagles 16-0 by the final.

The Golden Eagles will face the Patriots again Saturday in a double-header. The first game will be played at 2:00 p.m. and the second at 5:00 p.m. The final game of the four-game series will be played on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Let's just hope the Golden Eagles re-group and play better ball in the remaining games.
