Midtown Tulsa soon will be eating more chicken, as News On 6 has confirmed a rumor that has been circulating for months.
A representative for the brokerage firm CBRE has confirmed that a Chick-fil-A restaurant will be located at 41st Street and Yale near the Southroads Shopping Center.
The fast-food favorite will be using the spot that formerly housed Just For Feet and a bridal shop. It is next door to Old Navy and across the street from Promenade Mall.
It will make the fourth freestanding Chick-fil-A in the city and the only one in midtown. There currently are freestanding locations near Tulsa Hills on 71st and Olympia, at 71st Street and Garnett and near the SpiritBank Event Center on 104th and Memorial.
Chick-fil-A also is a food court vendor inside both Woodland and Promenade malls and on the ORU campus.
There is no word on the timetable for the restaurant's opening.
