OSBI Investigates Death Of Man Who Was Tasered In Custody

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into what caused a man to die while in custody after officers used a stun gun on him.

According to an OSBI spokesperson, Osage County deputies said they were called to the Million Dollar Elm Casino on Friday to assist an Osage Nation police officer with a man who had been banned from the casino.

Deputies said after a vehicle and foot chase, the suspect began fighting a security officer. An officer used his Taser on the man as they prepared to transport him to jail.

Deputies said he died on the scene.
