A Tulsa couple and their two children escaped their burning home near Gilcrease Hills Monday night.
The huge fire could be seen for miles.
Firefighters said the wood shingles on the home, made putting out the fire more difficult; but Captain, Jerry Benefield said that wasn't the biggest problem.
"The worst part was the weather. We had a hard time getting up here. Then we had low water pressure," he said.
Once the fire was out, they ran into another problem, one of the fire trucks got stuck on some ice in front of the house.
A tow truck pulled it free.
Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
