Across the metro crews have been working tirelessly to get roads clear, including Broken Arrow, where people drove around the city's main roads with very little problem Monday night.

City crews said it's because they've been treating the roads around the clock since Sunday night.

“Broken Arrow's been great actually. We haven't hit any slick spots or nothing yet," said B.A. resident, Lindsey Maas.

Snow plows and sand trucks hit the streets of Broken Arrow, clearing roads as drivers made their way down Elm Street - one of the city's main thoroughfares.

"In fact, the crews have treated the arterials by making three passes today, so they've really been working hard and I know our residents really appreciate that," said Krista Flasch with the City of Broken Arrow.

Including some downtown businesses that said driving conditions were not as bad as they thought they would be.

“Broken Arrow has done a good job of keeping up the streets today. We haven't had any problems at all actually," said downtown B.A. employee, Sunshine Seawright.

But city crews warned driver not to get too confident.

“We just don't know what's going to happen overnight. You know, the refreezing is certainly going to be a concern," Flasch said.

It's a concern drivers said they'll be looking out for.

"It might ice up because it's still really wet and it's going to be really cold," Seawright said.

Maas said, "I'm heading south, so I'm going to find out."

As for secondary streets, like main drags through neighborhoods, those roads are being overnight.

The city said it has a crew that will continue keeping up with the roads into Tuesday morning.
