The “Yes for TPS” committee launched their campaign Sunday afternoon. "Yes for TPS" is a group made up of local business owners, city leaders, parents and educators promoting the passage of an upcoming school bond.
The $415 million bond is made up of four different votes: a $239.7 million building and facilities bond, $19.8 million library bond, $138.4 million for textbooks and technology and lastly the $17.02 million transportation bond.
Projects include plans for a centralized Science, Technology, Engineering and Math center, replacing classroom additions and the construction of a new school in east Tulsa.
Speakers at Sunday's campaign launch urged people to vote yes for all four bonds. The district will need more than 60 percent of the vote to get the bond passed.
Voting will take place Tuesday, March 3.
