Tulsa Police: Woman Shot In Leg When Handgun Fires By Accident

Tulsa Police say a woman is recovering from a wound to her upper leg after a handgun accidentally discharged early Tuesday. 

Officers said the shooting occurred at the Motel 6 on East 52nd Place near 129th East Avenue at about 12:15 a.m. 

When questioned, police said the victim and a man were handling the gun when it discharged. 

EMSA took the woman to a Tulsa hospital with what police said was a non-life threatening injury. 

Police did not identify the man or the victim and no one was arrested.
