Tulsa Police responded to a shooting late Monday morning near 23rd and 129th East Avenue. Numerous patrol units responded to a home in the 13100 block of East 23rd Street.

A witness told police she heard one gunshot and saw two men run from a house. Police learned the home had been burglarized, and they found a .45 caliber semi-automatic weapon and one spent shell in the yard.

About the same time, a 17-year-old male shooting victim was found in the 3000 block of South 136th East Avenue. He told police he had gotten off a city bus and was walking home when a dark sedan pulled up and two people began chasing him through the neighborhood.

The shooting victim said he wrestled with one of the men who had pulled a gun, and he was shot once in the groin and leg.

Officers say the shooting victim matched the description of one of the men who was seen running from the burglarized home.

No arrests have been made. EMSA said the shooting victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
