The Sapulpa Fire Department says fire destroyed a newly-purchased RV trailer early Monday.
Firefighters got the call at 2:45 a.m. to the Route 66 RV Park in the 9700 block of New Sapulpa Road near I-44.
Sapulpa Fire Battalion Chief D.J Keizor says the couple got out thanks to a smoke alarm, but paramedics treated the man for second-degree burns on his hands.
Keizor said it appears the fire started in a wall behind the refrigerator.
An RV parked nearby sustained some minor fire damage.
The couple told firefighters they had just purchased the trailer on January 29, 2015.
