LeFlore County School District Closed Friday Due To Sick Students, Staff

The LeFlore School District in western LeFlore County canceled classes Friday because a large number of students and staff have missed school this week due to illness, including the flu.

The school is located north of Talihina and west of Heavner and has an enrollment of 215 students.

School officials said the number of absences had increased each day this week and the district decided to cancel Friday classes.

The school is scheduled to resume classes on Monday, February 9, 2015.
