Denell Henderson made a pair of free throws and blocked two shots in the final 23 seconds as Oral Roberts made up 11 points in the final 9:22 to beat South Dakota 73-72 on Saturday.
Henderson finished with three blocked shots and 14 points - including a perfect 8 of 8 at the line - as Oral Roberts (12-10, 5-3 Summit League) continues to lurk just behind the two league leaders, South Dakota State and North Dakota State.
Obi Emegano led the Golden Eagles with 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Korey Billbury scored four of his eight points in the last 6:26 and hauled down 10 rebounds. Albert Owens added 11 points.
Brandon Bos and Casey Kasperbauer led South Dakota (10-13, 4-5) with 16 points apiece. Tre Burnette and Eric Robertson both scored 10.
The Coyotes jumped to an early lead and were up 57-46 with 9:22 left.
