OHP: Sand Springs Man Stuck, Killed Walking On Osage County Highway

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Sand Springs man was killed Thursday evening while walking on Highway 97 north of Sand Springs. 

Troopers said incident occurred just north of the Osage County line at 6:21 p.m. 

The OHP identified the pedestrian as Craig Clark, 37, of Sand Springs. 

Troopers said Clark was walking on the highway with another man when a southbound 2004 GMC pickup truck driven by Ashley Burke, 25, of Sand Springs struck Clark. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The other pedestrian, Clint Clark, 37, of Sand Springs was not hurt.

The OHP said Burke was taken to a Tulsa hospital and treated for shock, but otherwise wasn't injured.
