Tulsa Police arrested two men in a series of crimes including car jacking and armed robbery. Wayne Allen Smith and Billy Joe Laverty reportedly carjacked a woman outside a Tulsa QuikTrip then used the car in an armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery.

They were arrested late Saturday in west Tulsa, according to an arrest report.

Police say Laverty, 38, held a gun to a woman's neck outside a west Tulsa QuikTrip January 17, 2015, and stole her red Toyota. The woman called police after the two men allegedly kicked her out of the vehicle, and police were able to get surveillance video showing the two men inside the store.

Later that day both Smith and Laverty went into a Domino's at 5108 South 33rd West Avenue carrying a shotgun and derringer, the arresting officer states. They ended up leaving the store without any money when the clerk at the register hesitated to hand it over.

Then on January 19, 2015, police say the 47-year-old White drove the Toyota while Laverty robbed the A.J.'s Convenience Store at 9102 South Union Avenue in Jenks. Laverty carried the derringer into the gas station to take money and cigarettes, police say.

They then abandoned the Toyota by the Page Belcher Golf Course, also in Jenks.

Both men are being held on a $300,000 bond for three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon after a felony conviction.
