Tulsa Police say teens stabbed a security guard during a car burglary attempt early Wednesday.

Officers said the teens stabbed the guard after she attempted to stop them from breaking into her personal car outside Video Game Technologies in the 12000 block of East Skelly Drive at 4:15 a.m.

They say the guard is in her 50s and has wounds in the arm and stomach.

The security guard was in her patrol vehicle when she saw the teens trying to break into her vehicle. She chased the teens across the street into the parking lot of East Central High School where she got out and confronted them. The burglars then got into her vehicle and tried to drive away.

When she reached into the vehicle one of the teens attacked her with a knife. Then they got out and ran away.

The guard was unable to provide a good description of the teens, saying that they were 13 or 14 years of age and were wearing blue and black hoodies.

The security guard was taken to a local hospital. Police say she is expected to be ok.
