Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt filed a workers' compensation fraud charge in December against a Tulsa man.

According to Tulsa County court records, James Cramer, 48, claimed he had originally twisted his ankle while on the job in October 2012 and filed for compensation benefit.

The company's insurance company, AIG investigated and according to a court affidavit, they learned Cramer had actually injured his foot when he stepped into a pothole outside the Vegas Club in Tulsa. In addition AIG learned a fellow employee agreed to back up Cramer's claim he had injured his foot while at work. That employee admitted to investigators in 2014 he had not witnessed the industrial accident claimed by Cramer.

The AG's office said if convicted, James Cramer faces up to seven years in prison and a fine of $10,000.
