The ANS Fuel store was back open for business Thursday morning, but Amanda Long wasn't working. Long told us her story in hopes someone might recognize the robber.
"I went to bed last night and even when I shut my eyes I could just see him," said Amanda Long.
Sand Springs Police say the man had a handgun and was wearing a mask when he walked into the A&S Fuel store on Highway 97 at about 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015.
"I was on the phone with my mom the whole time. My mom could hear it and my mom kept saying call 911, call 911," said Amanda Long.
Long was in the store alone when the gunman, with his face fully covered, pointed the gun at her and demanded money from the register. Long complied.
The robber grabbed a wad of cash and took off.
"I'm thinking 'OMG, I got a gun to my chest, his finger is on the trigger, and I'm just praying to God because I mean his finger was on the trigger and it thought I was done,'" said Amanda Long.
"Police called me and asked about the camera," said store owner, Abdul Zahid.
Sand Springs Police were on scene within minutes, questioning Long and getting the footage from the security cameras.
"We have about eight cameras here," said Abdul Zahid.
Long was still shaken the next day.
"I'm going to go get a gun permit which I had been thinking about anyway," said Amanda Long.
She hopes police catch the robber before she has to return to work.
If you recognize the man or know something about the robbery call Sand Springs Police at 918-245-8777.
