New Rogers County DA Takes Oath Of Office

The new district attorney for Craig, Mayes and Rogers counties was sworn in Monday morning at the Rogers County courthouse in Claremore.

During a ceremony at the courthouse, Judge Terry McBride administered the oath of office to Matt Ballard.

In August 2014 Ballard's Democratic opponent in the general election Robert Post quit the race.

In June, Ballard defeated incumbent Janice Steidley and Erin Oquin in the Republican primary.

Matt Ballard will also take the oath of office at a ceremony at the state Supreme Court in Oklahoma Monday afternoon.
