Authorities searched for and located teens who left the scene of an overnight wreck Saturday. Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the wreck on Interstate 244 between Memorial and Sheridan just before 2:30 a.m.
They found a camouflage-colored SUV with antlers on the hood wrecked in the eastbound lanes of the highway. The occupants had fled the scene, according to a collision report.
The investigating trooper say a 17-year-old girl was driving and lost control of the vehicle in the rain. The Toyota 4-Runner spun several times, striking a guardrail.
Authorities say there were two passengers in the Toyota, one a 17-year-old girl who was ejected from the vehicle and taken to a Tulsa hospital in fair condition. She had head, internal and other injuries, the trooper states. A 15-year-old passenger, also female, was not injured.
Troopers say the driver wasn't hurt.
The collision report lists driving under the influence of alcohol as the cause of the wreck. None of the occupants of the vehicle were identified due to their age.
Tulsa firefighters closed two lanes of the highway down until the wreck scene was cleared.
